From the rolling hills of Vulkanland Steiermark, Ploder-Rosenberg crafts some of Austria’s most captivating aromatic wines. Now in its third generation under Manuel Ploder and partner Selina Weratschnig, this barefoot-and-free-spirited duo farms biodynamically, with a bold focus on PiWi (fungus-resistant) grapes like Souvignier Gris. In the cellar, patience rules: long macerations, spontaneous fermentations, and extended ageing bring depth, minerality, and wild-yet-harmonious character. The result is a portfolio that runs from fragrant blends to single-varietal stunners and amphora-aged masterpieces — each one a pure expression of nature, time, and place.
