Andi Weigand

Andi Weigand represents a bold new wave in the German wine scene, redefining traditional winemaking with a fresh perspective. As a second-generation winemaker, Andi began crafting wines under his family's Weingut Weigand label in 2015. In 2018, he debuted his own line of natural wines, marking the same year his vineyards achieved official organic certification.

Situated on the Iphöfer Kronsberg, his vineyards are rooted in Keuper soil and include some of the region's oldest Muller Thurgau vines, now over 60 years old. Andi blends time-honored methods with modern techniques, using an 80-year-old basket press and large wooden barrels. Despite updating parts of the winery, he remains deeply committed to tradition: every grape is hand-harvested, and each wine is meticulously crafted with exceptional care. His wines are bottled without filtration or the addition of sulfur, reflecting purity and dedication in every glass.
