About Cantina Indigeno

Cantina Indigeno is one of the most exciting natural wine producers in Italy, making wines with minimal intervention with organically farmed mostly Montepulciano and Trebbiano grapes. Their wines are enchanting, alive, and evolving in the glass.

The group of friends friends who in 2016 founded Indigeno had worked together for many years in the beer industry before embarking on the new project, with friends such as Lammidia providing inspiration to move into the world of wine. Now working 9ha of organically certified vines, their modus operandi is to bring abandoned vineyards back to health, seeking out some of the less heralded varieties of their region and creating fresh and vital wines that speak of this incredible terroir.

About the Wine

A fun and funky skin-contact Trebbiano from Abruzzo. As natural as it gets - spontaneous fermentation in open vats without temperature control. No added sulfites. Crisp, tart and tropical balanced with some briny and savoury flavours.
