When we got together a while back with our friends at All My Friends, we concocted the idea for a ‘white IPA’ - not in the traditional wheat-based/ American IPA hybrid, but in terms of a very pale, lightly coloured, yet highly flavourful - and crushable - IPA. We sourced some special extra 'hell’ (or pale) pilsner malt, and picked a dry-hop combination of eclipse, wai-iti, and Freestyle motueka. Enter Extra Hell Extra Pale IPA. At 6.5% ABV it packs a a punch, with big notes of melon, peach, and zesty citrus peel.
