When De Cam Geuzestekerij opened 1997 within the walls of an early-18th century brewery in the town of Gooik, Belgium, it was the first new traditional lambic blender to open in nearly 40 years. De Cam is still one of the lambic blenders in Belgium, and receives its lambic from Boon, Girardin and Lindemans.
Red currants are traditionally harvested in the Pajottenland. The red currants are added whole with pits. The ratio of currants is around 45 kg per 100 liters of kriek.
