Forno Cultura approached us to make a beer using their world-class bread and we jumped at the chance! Using a restrained hand, we brewed this beer using a whole lot of their delicious Corn Sourdough, German Munich and Pilsner malts, a dash of Mandarina Bavaria hops and a long, cold lagering time. The result is a pillowy soft, deep golden lager with bready notes of honey, mild citrus and a gentle spice character. This beer is quite literally liquid bread.As third generation bakers, Forno Cultura is concerned with the highest level of artisanal craft in the full landscape of their offerings.
They prioritize seasonal and local ingredients to showcase what this region has to offer using an Italian sensibility.
