Mas Candí winery is situated in Les Gunyoles d’Avinyonet (Alt Penedès). Built in 2006, this small winery seeks the complicity with landscape, working the autochthonous varieties and recovering ancient Catalan varieties, almost missing. These winegrowers work trying to reproduce the biological balance that exist in a forest, without any type of chemical fertilizers, fungicides or pesticides— nourishing the plant with its own leaves transformed by soil microorganisms.
Naturally vinified combination of 50/50 Xarello and Parellada. The age of the vines is between 10-25 years. This is a real minimal intervention farming where the goal is to have the highest diversity of life in the soil and create a natural balance within the terroir. The grapes are manually harvested and collected in 10 kg boxes. The grapes are then sorted in the vineyard, and the highest quality ones are selected. Next, the grapes are cooled and pressed. Fermentation in stainless steel with no additions whatsoever!
